Meet the Staff
Neil was born and raised in Southern California, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach. He has over five years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Management. Prior to joining the Irvine Company, Neil was a Property Manager for Shea Properties in Orange County overseeing both Office and Retail locations.
Assistant Manager, Operations
Cindy serves as Assistant Property Manager at La Jolla Gateway and La Jolla Centre I & II, LLC. She has been with Irvine Company since July 2005, and has worked at Symphony Towers, 225 Broadway and Wells Fargo. Cindy has over 20 years experience in the commercial property management industry. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, family and friends, watching movies and cooking.
Mary Rhines hails from the midwest, moving to San Diego in the 1990's. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and a licensed real estate agent. She began her career with Irvine Company in downtown San Diego at Symphony Towers. She brings more than twenty years of executive administration and marketing experience to La Jolla Gateway.
Stuart is a native San Diegan. He has earned FMA , CPM and CPMM certifications over his 20+ plus years in the building maintenance industry. Prior to joining Irvine Company, Stuart has had experience in industrial, commercial, hospitality as well as geriatric facilities. Customer satisfaction is a primary goal for Stuart, with the philosophy that providing excellent customer service is the foundation of the overall customer experience.
David has been with the Irvine Company since 2006, as a Building Engineer 1. He has over 20 years of electrical, HVAC and general maintenance experience, with customer satisfaction being his main goal. Dave’s efficient and effective engineering skills have earned him honors.
Erik Leas serves as a Maintenance Technician at La Jolla Gateway. He has over 3 and a half years experience in Electrical commercial and industrial applications. In his spare time, Erik enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with his family and enjoying his recent marriage.
Site Supervisor, UPS
Matt Phelps, Site Supervisor, Universal Protection Service: A native of southern California, Matt earned his Bachelor's Degree at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He has over ten years experience in private security leadership, and has completed the Certified Security Professional program at Universal Protection Service. Prior to joining the Irvine Company team in 2009, Matt was an instructor for a nationwide trucking operation. He has taught world history and civics at the high school level. His favorite pastime is vegetable gardening at home with his children.
Director, Portfolio Operations
As Senior Director of Operations, Kris supports your management team and their efforts to provide the best in customer experience. Kris has worked in Real Estate Management for over six years and worked with Irvine Company for over ten years. Prior to working with Irvine Company, Kris spent time as an Operations Manager at Disneyland. A resident Southern Californian, Kris joined the San Diego IC team in 2009.
Chief Portfolio Engineer
As Director of Engineering for Irvine Company, Wayne oversees 52 projects consisting of over 4,300,000 square feet and has responsibility for the overall operations for the La Jolla Office and Campus Office Portfolios. With a staff of over 20 engineers, Wayne and his team excel at delivering a high level of service to our customers, increasing the performance and value of our assets. Wayne is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and the motivation necessary to raise the bar in all aspects of engineering operations. Wayne has over thirty years experience in facility operations, maintenance, and management.
Area Security Director, UPS
As Area Security Director, Dave oversees the entire UTC/La Jolla Portfolio. Dave has a broad range of experience in law enforcement and the security industry including 29 years active duty with the Los Angeles Police Department. Until recently Dave was the Security Director at the San Diego Natural History Museum. He has held numerous key leadership positions in national and international organizations including ASIS International and the FBI Infragard program. Dave is a 2010 graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy in San Diego, and he is a highly regarded disaster preparedness and response educator. He recently joined our team late March 2011.
Jose De La Rosa
Janitorial District Manager, ABM
Jose serves as our Janitorial District Manager for ABM Janitorial Services. He is in charge of all the day and night cleaning crews at Executive Square. He started in the restaurant management business in 1982, then eventually crossed over to the janitorial business in 1995. Jose has been with Irvine Company buildings since 2007 and is an integral part of our team.
Nicolas Roc Renshaw
Nicolas serves as our Project Manager for ABM Janitorial Services and is responsible for the day to day operations for Irvine Company Properties in the UTC area. Nicolas graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies. While earning his degree, Nicolas interned as a Marketing Representative for SanDisk, a Fortune 500 Company with headquarters in Silicon Valley. Nicolas and the ABM team value the successful partnership they have with Irvine Company and are dedicated to providing exceptional service to its customers and guests.
