“We were growing so quickly as a company that we were running out of space before our lease was set to end,” says Angel “AROCK” Castillo, reflecting on the rapid growth of his company, BPM Supreme.
As the founder and CEO of BPM Supreme, AROCK is rewriting the rules for the DJ industry. His innovative team is setting a new standard for how DJs discover and experience music – and he didn’t want his growing company to be trapped by an inflexible lease.
This is where we’ve built our company into our dream business. This building feels like home.Angel “AROCK” Castillo, founder and CEO of BPM Supreme.
“We asked Rachael [Eckardt], Irvine Company’s San Diego leasing director, for help. She got back to us immediately with a solution.”
Rachael worked with AROCK to move the company to a larger suite within the same building, 101 W Broadway, well before their original lease was set to end. Once the paperwork was signed, construction teams moved quickly to prepare the new space.
“We moved to a larger space within months, rather than waiting over a year for our original lease to finish,” says AROCK. “The entire process was as seamless as possible.”
Today, BPM Supreme’s team enjoys expansive views of North, South and West San Diego. Taking a cue from the view, the workspace design features an “effortlessly cool” aesthetic, reflecting the team’s “work hard, play hard” mentality.
“We have an amazing view of the Coronado Bridge, which inspires everyone who walks in,” says AROCK. “We have award-winning artists and big names in the DJ and music business who come to the office. These views really make a statement about our company: we’re a force to be reckoned with.”
BPM Supreme is the leading music digital subscription service for radio DJs, radio programmers, club DJs, and professional DJs across the globe with the largest library of DJ-ready content in the world. The company is poised for continued growth – including a new satellite office in Los Angeles – but the San Diego headquarters remains the company’s heartbeat.
“We thought about moving to a nearby building but at the end of the day, we couldn’t imagine leaving,” said AROCK. “We have such close relationships with building management, even the security guards. They feel like an extended family. This is where we’ve built our company into our dream business. This building feels like home.”
