Roger DeWames
President

Roger DeWames is President of Irvine Company Office Properties. He is responsible for the leadership and performance of the division, including a 54 million square foot, fully-integrated customer-centric platform of asset management, development, leasing, finance and investments, operations, marketing, and technology enablement. 

Roger previously led development, acquisition and reinvestment activities for the company’s office and self storage portfolios, including planning and development of over 8 million square feet of ground-up office projects. 

Prior to joining Irvine Company, Roger led development, acquisitions and investment in the Orange County office of Hines, including ground-up development and acquisitions of multiple product types.

Roger holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s of Science in biology from the University of California, San Diego. He previously served as a Board member of NAIOP.

Mike Bennett
Executive Vice President, Portfolio Operations & Engineering

Michael Bennett oversees operations for Irvine Company’s 50+ million SF Office portfolio, including oversight of engineering, customer experience, retail amenities, asset management of parking operations, and leading portfolio acquisition due diligence.

Mike’s 30 years of commercial real estate experience spans office, industrial and retail products, including serving as Managing Director for Insignia/ESG, where he oversaw 23 million SF in Orange County and San Diego.

Mike is a graduate of California State University-Fullerton and the Wharton School Executive Leadership Program and holds a California Real Estate Broker’s License. His numerous industry leadership positions include prior President, Irvine Spectrumotion Board of Directors and BOMA San Diego Advisory Board and currently BOMA Orange County Board of Directors.

Outside of work, Mike has a passion for action sports and related community service groups that support wounded veterans and special needs children.

Steve Case
Executive Vice President, Strategic Leasing & Advisory

Steve Case is responsible for the leasing strategy for Irvine Company’s 50+ million square foot office portfolio, including strategic customer relations and the company’s Flex Workspace+ platform.  During his 17 year tenure, the company completed 160+ million square feet of leasing totaling $30 billion

Prior to joining Irvine Company, Steve was a Senior Managing Director of CBRE, responsible for the Orange County region including  leasing, operations, finance, marketing and appraisal services.

Steve holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from the University of Southern California and completed executive education programs at Stanford University and Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. He has been an Advisory Board Member for the UCI Center for Real Estate, on the Executive Council of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate and is on the Advisory Committee for Hoag Hospital.

Beyond the real estate industry, Steve actively supports charitable organizations focused on education and health and wellness.

Senior Vice President, Division Finance Officer

Beejal Northrup leads the financial planning, investment underwriting, leasing analytics, portfolio analytics and credit review functions for Irvine Company’s Office division.

Prior to joining Irvine Company in 2020, Beejal worked for 20+ years in financial roles at various companies, including 11 years at Healthpeak Properties, a $20 billion publicly traded healthcare REIT, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance for the Medical Office division.

Beejal received her MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her BS in Physiological Science with a minor in Accounting from UCLA.

In her spare time, Beejal enjoys traveling with her husband and three children, trying unique restaurants, playing ping pong and pickleball, and watching creative movies.

Jason Grovert
Senior Vice President, Technology Strategy

Jason Grovert oversees Technology Enablement for Irvine Company’s Office division, continuously improving performance and experiences through efficient use of technology. 

Jason has more than 25 years of experience in technology leadership, most recently as the Chief Information Officer at Steadfast Living, a nationwide multifamily REIT in Irvine. At Steadfast, he helped lead the business towards a tech-forward strategy that accelerated their business and digital transformation. Prior to Steadfast Living, he was Chief Technology Officer at Ryland Homes, a nationwide single family home builder leading their technology vision and strategy.

Originally from Phoenix, Jason holds a Master of Science in Information Management from Arizona State University and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA.

He and his wife have two children and enjoy volleyball, electronic music and of course computers and new technology.

Commercial Design & Construction

Tom Sullivan
President, Commercial Design & Construction

Tom Sullivan is Division President, Commercial Design & Construction for the Irvine Company. Tom is responsible for leading all design and commercial construction of our Office and Retail portfolios, including tenant improvement and coordination.

Mr. Sullivan oversees the reinvestment and upgrading of the Irvine Company’s Retail portfolio, comprising three regional centers and 28 neighborhood and community centers, and the Irvine Company’s Office portfolio, comprising over 150 workplaces in Coastal California, Chicago and New York City.

Over the course of his 35 year career, Mr. Sullivan has led high-profile office, hotel and retail development throughout Coastal California. Mr. Sullivan joined the company in 2006 and has held several positions within the Office and Retail divisions, including overseeing the development of 8 million SF of Class-A office space. 

Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics from the University of San Francisco. He is currently a member of Lambda Alpha International.

Tim Carey
Senior Vice President, Construction Services

Tim Carey oversees design and construction of new development projects for Irvine Company’s office portfolio and ongoing enhancements to its continuously evolving workplaces. 

Since joining Irvine Company more than a decade ago, Tim has overseen 5 million square feet of new development. Before joining Irvine Company, Tim established Carey Consulting, Inc. providing real estate development and construction management consulting services to clients including Irvine Company’s Retail Division. Earlier he spent nine years at Catellus Urban Development where he oversaw design and construction.

Tim received his MBA from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management and BA from Harvard University. He also holds a California contractor’s license.

Outside of work, Tim is a father of 4 and amateur photographer who enjoys playing basketball.

John Koga
Senior Vice President, Planning & Design

John Koga leads the design and re-positioning efforts for more than 50 million SF of workplaces across Coastal California, Chicago and New York.

Over the last 35 years, John has participated in the planning and design of super high rise skyscrapers, large scale urban mixed-use projects, hospitality and gaming properties, and workplace projects in more than 25 countries. Eighteen of his formative years as an architect were spent at the renowned architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) in New York City.

John received his Master of Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University.

John is an avid cyclist, enjoying Masters criterium racing, outback mountain and gravel biking, and virtual Zwifting.
