In 2016, Balt USA acquired the startup Blockade Medical and initiated a search for an R&D workspace in Irvine, widely recognized as a leading MedTech hub in the United States. The company required a flexible lease structure that could support projected growth while maintaining access to high-quality, premium space.

Irvine Company structured lease deals that allowed Balt USA to expand into adjacent space, eliminating the disruption associated with frequent moves. This flexibility also ensured the growing company could expand on their own schedule. Irvine Company worked with Balt USA to establish clean room space at Parker Technology Center that includes 27-foot ceilings, allowing for proper HVAC and filtration plus ample room to service its specialized equipment – a unique space customized to Balt USA’s specifications.
