“Be Phenomenal.” That’s the motto Global Chairman and CEO Steve Jones encourages his employees at Allied Universal to live by.
As the third largest employer in the United States and the seventh largest worldwide, Allied Universal’s employees have proven they go above and beyond. The company’s mission is simple: to keep people, communities, and businesses safe each and every day.
We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Steve Jones to discuss the company’s new corporate headquarters at Market Place Center in Irvine, California.
Jones explained, “employees are our product,” making it vital to create a working environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and communication. The move to Market Place Center provided an opportunity to design a space with Irvine Company that met the needs of its growing team.
“When we decided to move our offices we knew we were going to go with our long-time partner and the best landlord and property owner in the marketplace. That’s Irvine Company,” Jones said.
The new space includes meeting rooms, conference rooms, quiet rooms, and a break area where employees can gather and collaborate. The modern, open design reflects the company’s forward-thinking values and promotes a sense of unity among employees.
The response from Allied Universal employees has been overwhelmingly positive. They utilize the numerous amenities offered at the Market Place Center, including KINETIC fitness center, Cafe 350, walking trails, and sports courts. Proximity to Market Place Center’s retail shops and restaurants has also provided convenience for the team.
“Our employees are able to walk down the street at hundreds of retail establishments, restaurants and different amenities,” Jones shared. “They can either walk or quickly get in their car to take care of personal errands or go have a business lunch.”
Jones’ connection to Irvine Company goes beyond being a customer. Having grown up in Irvine, he has witnessed the city’s growth and transformation firsthand.
Allied Universal has been a service provider to Irvine Company for over 35 years. Jones noted that the trust, integrity, and resources shared between the two companies have been key to their long-standing relationship.
